"When we sold our home on the Sonoma coast and retired, we downsized and found another home in the same community. The problem was Safeco, our former insurer, decided they wouldn't write coverage for our new home. We found AAA would at the last minute and went with them so we wouldn't lose coverage. After a 50% rate increase from AAA last year (for no reason on our behalf) our neighbor told us about Bob Smith at State Farm. We called, talked to Sindy, and in about 30 minutes, Sindy gave us a great quote for both our home and cars. We even sent Sindy our AAA quote so she would be comparing apples for apples. Sindy has been just so nice to deal with, I highly recommend this office!"

"This rating is no reflection on Bob Smith, our agent, or his very capable assistant, Cindy. This poor rating is for the incompetence shown by the claims department. Due to their mishandling of the inspection of the damage to our car, my husband made a long bus/light rail trip to get our car from the dealership service department, drive it to the inspection station for nothing! When he got there he was told they had no way to hoist the car in order to look at the undercarriage, where the damage is. A full description of the accident and damage, along with photos were provided in an email. Adding insult to injury, we've been told that there is no guarantee an inspection agent will be immediately available to go to the dealership to inspect the car there - we may have to wait another week! They have been told this is our only vehicle. We have already rented a car, at great expense, and don't care to do so again unless State Farm foots the bill for it. The mishandling of the inspection of our car is inexcusable. Every ounce of information they could have possibly needed was provided to them. I don't know how we could have made the location of the damage any clearer. This was their screwup and they should fix it either by getting an inspector over to our car today or tomorrow at the latest, or provide us with a rental car at no cost to us."
